    Who It's For

Everyone interested in preserving the skin on their neck, chest and hands.  Not irritating but be careful if you have sensitive skin - try a small area at first.

    Dr. Irwin's Product Review

Finally a good product for the neck, chest and hands.  Does seem to improve color and texture overall but don't expect change in deeper wrinkles or raised brown spots. You need your dermatologist for those.

Every morning under sunscreen and every evening under moisturizer on the neck, chest, and hands.

    Replenish Hydrating Cream
    SkinMedica
    $66.00

    Size: 2 oz

    Who It's For

Those with dry or very dry skin.

    Dr. Irwin's Product Review

Similar to La Mer but at half the price, this product is very moisturizing.  Stays on the skin longer than most.  In my own skin care product regimen especially in dryer climates or skiing.  Has a very subtle fragrance that most patients like.

The Replenish Hydrating Cream comes now in SkinMedica packaging (Allegan, the owner of Vivite, bought SkinMedica).  But it is the same product.

    How to Use

One to three times a day.

    Ingredients

Purified Water, Glycerin, Cyclotetrasiloxane, Sucrose Cocoate, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Isododecane, Isohexadecane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Sericin, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Sodium PCA, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Tocopheryl Acetate, Bisabolol, Glycosaminoglycans, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Cholesterol, Polysilicone-11, Millet (Panicum Millaceum) Extract, Methylparaben, Camellia Oleifera Extract, Cellulose Gum, Cetyl Hydroxyethylcellulose, Propylparaben, Tocopherol, Butylene Glycol Linoleic Acid, Linolenic Acid, Ceramide III, Allantoin Glycyrrhetinic Acid, Superoxide Dismutase, And Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate

Tropical Vanilla Day Cream SPF 32
    Eminence
    $68.00

    Size: 2 fl. oz

    Who It's For

Great for dry to normal skin.  Too chalky for the darkest skin types or oily skin.

    Dr. Irwin's Product Review

Organic. Great product on the the neck and chest because it's very hydrating (remember very few oil glands on the neck especially), doesn't stain clothing and contains zinc 5% which blocks UV through the full spectrum.  Subtle fragrance and a little chalky at first but absorbs well after a few minutes.

    How to Use

Apply a generous amount to facial skin about 30 minutes prior to sun exposure. Massage until product is fully absorbed and reapply as necessary after excessive sweating or swimming.

    Ingredients

  • Hyaluronic facial moisturizer skin cream
    HA5 Rejuvenating Hydrator
    SkinMedica
    $178.00

    Size - 2 oz

    Who It's For

Great for the very dry as a second moisturizing layer, great for oily skin and acne

    Dr. Irwin's Product Review

There's a lot of buzz about hyaluronic acid (HA) as a moistuizer for skin.  What's nice is that it binds water in the skin without adding oil, so it's great at adding extra hydration for very dry skin......put it under your regular moisturizer.  And....it's great for those with oily skin and acne because it hydrates without oil.  Also, helpful when the the weather is hot and humid.  Very light.

The SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel is similar in that it's also almost pure hyaluronic acid, but with vitamin B5 (niacin) added.  The B5 helps to prevent age spots (solar lentigoes) and the "yellowing" that occur naturally in skin with aging. This HA5 SkinMedica product with both short and long chain hyaluronic acid molecules is better for fine lines and hydration.

The price point looks high, but is actually pretty good.  It has double the amount (2.0 oz) of many skin care products.  The SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel is only 1.0 oz, for example.

The packaging is air travel friendly.

    How to Use

Usually after cleansing and under other products, but ok to use with other serums/gels

    Ingredients

Water, Dimethicone, HDI/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Bis-PEG-8 Dimethicone, Polysilicone-11, Sodium Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Flower Cell Extract, Vibrio Alginolyticus Ferment Filtrate, Alteromonas Ferment Extract, Porphyridium Cruentum Extract, Whey Protein, Plankton Extract, Trehalose, Urea, Serine, Algin, Caprylyl Glycol, Pullulan, Disodium Phosphate, Potassium Phosphate, Pentylene Glycol, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Glyceryl Polyacrylate, Sodium Citrate, Sea Water, Sucrose Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hydroxyacetophenone, Polysorbate 60, Propanediol, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, Isohexadecane, Polysorbate 80, Silica, Decyl Glucoside, Tromethamine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA.

    $133.00

    Size:  1.7 oz

    Who It's For

Everyone with a neck that's aging.

    Dr. Irwin's Product Review

This is one of the best performing neck creams we've tested and is popular with our patients. It improves the fine lines and some of the laxity (sagging), if it's mild.  If you have a LOT of loose skin, this will help with texture, but not the sagging. Contains a high concentration (see the 3rd ingredient) of an extract from a red microalgae (porphyridium), peptides and green tea extract. It's not oily but moisturizing. Antioxidant with potentially anti-inflammatory properties.

    How to Use

Use under your sunscreen on your neck in the AM and under moisturizer at night.

SkinTour's Philosophy:
Skincare is your best
investment
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes!
