Who It's For

Great for the very dry as a second moisturizing layer, great for oily skin and acne

Dr. Irwin's Product Review

There's a lot of buzz about hyaluronic acid (HA) as a moistuizer for skin.  What's nice is that it binds water in the skin without adding oil, so it's great at adding extra hydration for very dry skin......put it under your regular moisturizer.  And....it's great for those with oily skin and acne because it hydrates without oil.  Also, helpful when the the weather is hot and humid.  Very light.

The SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel is similar in that it's also almost pure hyaluronic acid, but with vitamin B5 (niacin) added.  The B5 helps to prevent age spots (solar lentigoes) and the "yellowing" that occur naturally in skin with aging. This HA5 SkinMedica product with both short and long chain hyaluronic acid molecules is better for fine lines and hydration.

The price point looks high, but is actually pretty good.  It has double the amount (2.0 oz) of many skin care products.  The SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel is only 1.0 oz, for example.

The packaging is air travel friendly.

SkinTour's Philosophy:
Skincare is your best
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes!
