  • Eye cream with anti-glycation
    A.G.E. Eye Complex
    SkinCeuticals
    $96.00

    Size: 0.5oz

    Who It's For

Could be good as a preventive product but also for sun damage and wrinkles.

    Dr. Irwin's Product Review

Antioxidant/Anti-Glycation: The gentle antioxidant (in this case plant flavanoids) with peptides are present in other eye creams. What's new here is the addition of plant based anti-glycation extracts. Glycation causes breakdown of the collagen and elastin fibers over time. Interesting product but  what works in cells in a lab doesn't always work in live humans. Most of our patients who used this product got nice results.

    How to Use

Use nightly or morning and night.

  • all trans retinol eye cream for dark circles, fine lines
    All-trans-Retinol Eye Repair Cream
    Replenix
    $81.00

    Size: 0.5 fl oz.

    Who It's For

Best for those who want to reduce the appearance of fine lines and dark circles around their eyes.  Don"t use if you have a propylene glycol allergy.

    Dr. Irwin's Product Review

This is a good retinol option for the eye area.   It's gentle enough for most people to use while giving the benefits that retinoids do - decreasing fine wrinkles, helping to control pigment and dark circles, and improving sun damage overall.   For most people trying to use Renova, tretinoin or other retinoids is too irritating on eyelid skin.    Also contains antioxidants green tea polyphenols and vitamin C, Arnica, and a peptide.   Remember that wearing sunglasses really helps to protect the eye area also.

    How to Use

Apply around your eyes once or twice daily.  It's fine to apply a moisturizer over or under this - just wait 5-10 minutes in between.

    Ingredients

    Dr. Irwin's Product Review

My personal eye cream.  Gentle and helps with early fine lines and crepeyness.  Contains hyaluronic acid, Vitamin A (Retinyl Palmitate), Vit E, Glycolic acid (low concentration for the eye area), a little sunscreen, and a Vitamin C ester.  It has enough low strength actives (better for the eye area) to be effective.  Results evident at 30-60 days.  I love the NeoCutis Lumerie Riche too, but I Iike to try new products and change things up sometime.

Mid weight, hydrating and good for sensitive skin.

  • Rich hydrating eye cream
    Lumiere Riche Bio-Restorative Eye Balm
    NeoCutis
    $108.00

    Size: 0.5 oz

    Who It's For

Ideal for those with wrinkles and sun damage on the eyelids and around the eye area.

    Dr. Irwin's Product Review

This product is great and supported by a study in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology. It contains PSP which stimulates cell activity and growth. If you like science, it is a mixture of human growth factors, cytokines and interleukins.  PSP is similar to the TNS product (see antiaging in this shop) that so many people love.   Also contains a form of hyaluronic acid which hydrates and a yam extract which plumps the thin skin around the eyes.

    How to Use

Apply morning and night to the eyelids down to the cheek margin and include the wrinkles ("crow's feet").

    Ingredients

Water (Aqua), C12-20 Acid PEG-8 Ester, Petrolatum, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Glycerin, Saccharide Isomerate, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate / Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Butylene Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Isohexadecane, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Dioscorea Villosa (Wild Yam) Root Extract, Bisabolol, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Caffeine, Processed Skin Proteins (PSP™), Disodium EDTA, Phospholipids, Glycyrrhetinic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Acrylates / C10-30 Alkylacrylate, Crosspolymer, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Hydroxide, Tocopherol, Beech Tree Bud Extract (Fagus Sylvatica Extract), Palm Oil (Elaeis Guineensis), Tocotrienols, Squalene, Phytosterols, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Polysorbate 60, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzoic Acid

    $30.00

Size: Don't be surprised when you see how small this product size is. This product is a tiny tube of 0.3 fl oz (10ml).

    Who It's For

    Dr. Irwin's Product Review

This product goes right on the eyelids and whole eye socket area (periorbital) - it's formulated for this sensitive skin.  Here's who really needs this product: anyone who has a fair amount of sun damage and/or wrinkles around the eyes; anyone who is undergoing laser procedures around the eyes; anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors, but especially runners, cyclists, golfers, open water swimmers, and hikers/climbers; and......anyone who doesn't wear sunglasses regularly.  It doesn't sting the eyes with sweating.

    How to Use

You can use it alone.  For women, I personally like my eye cream under it and sometimes then even use a concealer over it.  It works with eye makeup well.

    Ingredients

Actives are titanium 9% and zinc 4%.  I'd rather these were reversed so there was more zinc but it still blocks the UVB.  It blocks the UVA fairly well but not perfectly. Titanium Dioxide 9%, Zinc Oxide 4%. Dimethicone, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Triethylhexanoin, Isohexadecane, Talc, Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, C30-45 Alkyldimethylsilyl Polypropylsilsesquioxane, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Aluminum Stearate, Alumina, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Iron Oxides, Phenoxyethanol, Silica Silylate, Peg-8 Laurate, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, 2-Oleamido-1,3-Octadecanediol, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Paraffin, Aluminum Hydroxide

SkinTour's Philosophy:
Skincare is your best
investment
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes!
